We woke up to thunderstorms this morning and so we decided it was a good day for little Dallas to wear his Curious George raincoat and umbrella. He was so excited to put it on and he could not wait to go outside. By the time we got outside after breakfast, teeth brushing, using the potty, playing with the train, and getting clothes on, it had stopped raining--but that did not stop little Dallas. He wore the coat and carried the umbrella into school to show it to everyone. After coaxing him to take off the coat and give me the umbrella, I headed to the Biltmore Spa to enjoy my Valentine's Day present from Dallas. I spent 4 hours being pampered and it was GREAT! Thank you so much Dallas! I loved every minute of it!

We had a great time visiting in Columbia. On Thursday, little Dallas and I went to my friend, Leslie Kirk's house, so she could take some photographs of him. She is very talented and we just love all of the pictures. Little Dallas did pretty well considering he is 2 1/2 and was all over the place. Leslie was very patient and she got some great pictures. On Friday we left for Atlanta with Poppy to visit my Grandmother. While we were there we also got to see my Aunt Beth, cousin Sarah and her husband, Scott. Little Dallas loved pushing around her wheeled walker and my Grandmother loved letting him sit on it while she pushed him. We walked all around the assisted living facility so she could show him off! He would not sit still for pictures but I managed to get a few. We were happy to come home on Saturday and see Daddy Dallas. He is tired and trying to get over the jet lag all the while working 6 hours on Saturday and 6 on Sunday at his office and still getting over a cold. He is super busy but I think it made him feel better when he got a big hug from little D!

Little Dallas and I made cupcakes last night for the staff at his school. The kids are only allowed to exchange cards due to allergies. I always imagined baking for events like this when I had children so I was going to make something for somebody! I did not ice the cupcakes until after little Dallas went to bed so he did not see the finished product until this morning . Of course he wanted to try one when he saw them so I let him have a special treat before school. He had already eaten breakfast so he really was not very hungry. He just licked some icing and took one bite. I know Valentine's Day is not until Thursday but we are leaving today for Columbia so we took them early. Daddy Dallas left for Sweden on Saturday morning so we thought we would go spend time with Noah, Poppy, and Uncle Whit. Big Dallas and I will miss spending Valentine's Day together(we missed last year too, I think he was overseas again) but we will celebrate on the 22nd with a date night. Unfortunately, he spent the early part of Saturday morning before his flight, in Doctor's Care and was diagnosed with the flu. He is currently getting ready for a big presentation and fighting being sick. I feel so bad for him being sick in another country and having to do a presentation. I know he would just like to be at home on the couch or in the bed. We are sending our prayers that you feel better soon!

Fun Depot
We took Dallas to the Asheville Fun Depot after Daddy Dallas finished work on Tuesday night. They have miniture golf, laser tag, batting cages, rock climbing wall, bumper cars, lots of games, and a huge soft play area for smaller kids with slides, tunnels, a bouncing area, and places to climb. At first he was hesitant to climb into this maze of tunnels and slides so we went with him. I think big Dallas and I had just as much fun as little Dallas. We played golf- which he just adored!! I could not even get him to stop long enough for a picture so all of the golf pics are "action shots". He quickly figured out he could put the ball right by the hole and then knock it in. Then he would say, "yeah!", pick up the ball and run to the next hole. It was too cute. Daddy tried to teach him how to hold the putter and where to put the ball to start but he wanted nothing of it. He had to do it his way which is how he is doing everything these days!

Fun Weekend
Our friends, Keith and Brittney, came up to visit us this weekend from Columbia. On Saturday we drove to the Nantahala National Forest in Sapphire to see Whitewater Falls. Little Dallas loved being outside and climbing the rocks and the 153 stairs we went down and up to get a better view. He got a ride down on Daddy's shoulders but he walked all the way up holding my hand. On Sunday Dallas cooked chicken wings and raw fries and we watched the Giants beat the Patriots. Keith is a big Giants fan so he was very excited about the win. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
