Missing my Baby

Little Dallas is spending the week with all of his Grandparents in South Carolina. Dallas and I are going to Las Vegas and of course we had plenty of volunteers to watch Baby D. I am missing him so much. I keep going in his room and looking at all of his toys. I have been able to get alot of things done but I feel like part of me is missing. I am so happy that he is able to spend time with all of his Grandparents but I will be so happy to see him on Sunday. I love you Dallas! I can't wait to see you!

Go Gamecocks!

We all had fun Saturday watching Carolina beat Clemson! Little Dallas had on his Gamecock sweater and was throwing his arms up signaling a touchdown. If he heard it on the T.V. or we all said, "TOUCHDOWN", he would put his arms up.....so cute! Daddy Dallas said Little Dallas would have to wear that sweater every year because it must have been good luck. He said we would make a hat out of it as he outgrows it as a sweater. I know all of you Gamecock fans had a just as great of a day as we did Saturday. To all you Clemson fans- we vote Jad Dean for President!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great day. As some of you know we are in Raleigh, NC at Uncle Justin and Aunt Kellee's new house. BeBe and Paw Paw are here also-- along with all of our dogs (6 total)! We have a full house and are having such a good time. We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and lots of football. We had dinner around 6:00. The guys deep fried a turkey and we also had green bean casserole, pineapple and cheese casserole, stuffing, cranberry, and broccoli salad. We are very full! After dinner Dallas surprised us all and FINALLY started walking. We were all so excited to watch him. He was so proud of himself. He got so hot he took his clothes off. He also said Paw Paw for the first time! We had a very big evening. We are so thankful for all of our friends and family and all our many blessings! Happy Thanksgiving!

Sharing lunch with Harley

Dallas has a cold so we stayed in most of the day. He took 2 big naps. I am sure the medicine he is taking is making him sleepy. It was really cold today so it was a good day to be inside anyway. I was able to get alot done since he napped for so long. We are excited about seeing BeBe and Paw Paw and Uncle Justin and Aunt Kellee for Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for! As you can see, Dallas loves to walk--he just won't let go! He decided to share his lunch with Harley and wave to the camera to say Hi to everyone!

Fun Weekend

We went to visit Tom, Virginia, and Baby Rowan this weekend. We had such a fun time. We went to a pre-Thanksgiving party where there were lots of people and lots of kids. Dallas and Rowan were worn out but they looked really cute. They were the only two who had on Thanksgiving outfits and I must be the only Mother who forgot to take a picture--PLEASE forgive me!! After the party we returned home around 8:00 and had a babysitter so we could all go out together. We had such a good time. We were all dancing and Tom even sang karaoke. It was quite entertaining! We hope everyone else had a great weekend. Thanks again to Tom and Virginia for having us over.

Dancing With Uncle Justin?

Did anyone know Uncle Justin was on Dancing With the Stars?

New Backpack

We have had lots of rain today. We even had several tornado warnings! Little Dallas had his second day of school today. He wore his new backpack. It is so cute. It has his name on it and construction equipment. He also wore a new outfit that has a bulldozier on it. We got off to a rocky start this morning. He clung to my leg again and would not stop crying. This time I had to leave with him screaming and watching me walk out of the door. I felt awful. When I picked him up his teacher said he had a much better day today than Tuesday. She said he talked and laughed and ate chicken nuggets and peaches for lunch. They also had a fire drill today so that was alot of excitement for the Little Ducks room! I am so happy he ended up having a good day!

First Day of School!

We made it through our first day of school. Dallas was very tired when he woke up this morning. I made him a blueberry waffle and banana. He ate okay--as you can see in the picture. I snapped one more picture on our way out the door and we were off. The minute we got in the room (which is called Little Duck's) and I put him down he started crying and clung to my leg. I had to stay for about 10 minutes and play with him until he calmed down. I was able to sneak out and just hope for the best. It was very hard to leave the parking lot but I did, and then I didn't know what to do with myself. I met Daddy Dallas for lunch and he was able to go with me to pick up Dallas. When we arrived all of the kids were sleeping except Dallas. They said he had just woken up from a 1 and 1/2 hour nap. We were surprised that he slept but happy that he did. He was happy to see us. His teacher said he had fish sticks, tater tots, and pineapple for lunch but that he only ate the pineapple. Apparently he overindulged on the morning snack of vanilla wafers and milk so he wasn't very hungry. He has also never had fish sticks or tater tots so he probably was unsure of them. Rightly so in my opinion because I am unsure of fish sticks as well! So his first day report from the teacher said this: "I met all my new friends. I played with the cars and balls alot. I sat at the table and ate my snack like a big boy. After all the playing I got very sleepy. I ate my lunch and took a nap on my cot." So we made it through, hope everyone else had a good day.

I love Mommy's old Keyboard!

Thanks Nana for giving Dallas my old keyboard. He really loves playing it with his hands, feet, and bottom! He starts dancing and smiling. We might have another musician in the family. Great Grandmamma Jones would be so proud too!

Welcome Home Nana!

Welcome home Nana! We are so glad you are back from China and hope you had a great trip. It was rainy and cold here today. We played inside this morning and then after lunch went shopping and to run errands. Yesterday we had lazy day around the house and I went in the basement to try and find all of the Christmas stuff. I am looking forward to decorating our new house for our first Christmas here. Daddy and Dallas had fun playing and watching football on Sunday. Hope everyone had a great weekend and Monday.

Day with Daddy

Dallas got to spend some quality time with his Daddy today. I went to get my hair done so they hung blinds, boxed up some heaters we are returning and went to the store. It seems like they had a good time together and Daddy is very tired! At some point while I was gone, Little Dallas crawled into his dump truck and got stuck. Fortunately, Daddy was able to capture in on the camera. We hope BeBe and Paw Paw and Uncle Justin and Aunt Kellee are having fun at the beach and we wish were there too.
