I took this picture of little Dallas the other day decked out in some of his favorite things. He likes to put band aids on even though he doesn't have any boo boo's. That day he had on a Dora and Thomas band aid. He loves his Elmo slippers from Santa and his Nemo pajamas are still a hit from Bebe. Thank you to Bebe and PawPaw for his new Thomas sandles! Those are the current favorite and he wears them all the time--even with his pajamas!

Birthday Party
Looks like it will be a fun party!
Coloring hats and aprons
Not such a happy face
Now he's there...
Now he's not!
I took little Dallas to his first birthday party today and things started off way better than they ended. The party was for a girl in his class and they had it at a place called The Young Chefs Academy. They were to make their own pizzas to eat with no help from the parents. They even have a seperate area for the parents to wait in. We were the first to arrive and Dallas was all smiles and friendly. While we were waiting to get started the kids were running around chasing each other and suddenly we heard a bump and here comes Dallas crying. He told me the birthday girl had pushed him and he hit his head on the wall. He yelled, NO! at her while pointing his finger at her and I wanted to dig a hole and crawl in it. No one said anything and it was very quiet as I told him that was not nice and to say he was sorry. The birthday girl's parents did nothing about her supposedly pushing him so I had to let that go and hope he would get past it. They colored their chefs hats and aprons and I was able to snap one photo in the 2 seconds he left it on. He then managed to get out of the apron that had been tied on like a straight jacket and refused to wear it or the hat again. Finally the pizza making started and just as the lady was explaining what they were going to do, Dallas hopped off his stool and planted himself in my lap. I tried everything to coax him back to participating but he refused. They had to make an extra pizza for him so he would have something to eat. All he said the whole time was how he wanted to go home and if I got close to another child he would tell them, "No, My Mommy!" I wanted to go home too but I was determined to make him stick it out. They watched her open presents while the pizza's baked and most of the kids were crying because it was past nap time and they wanted to open presents too. I did not think he was going to eat but he did and he had a little cake too. We said our thank you's, Happy Birthday's, and good bye's and we were the first to leave. It just wasn't his day today. Next week is his last week at this school. I am going to keep him home for the summer and get him in a school that fits our needs better in the fall. It has been very difficult to locate a part time, part week school here. In Columbia the churches offer great programs and there is a great Mother's Morning out as well. In Shippensburg we had the most wonderful school and that is what we miss most about not being there anymore. Now that he will be 3 in August we have a few more options here but I think I am in for a long summer!

Happy Mother's Day
We are late on wishing a Happy Mother's Day to all of the mommies because our power went out due to the wind and we didn't get it back until last night. We hope you all had a special day! Thank you to my guys for making my day very special. I love the new television for the kitchen and the flowers! Little Dallas and I went to Columbia on Friday. Saturday morning I headed to Charleston to celebrate my friend, John Brunty's birthday and grand opening of his new space for his business. Lee and I attented the party together and spent a few hours before the party on the beach. Thank you Lee and Yancey for having me--I had a great time as usual! Meanwhile, little Dallas attended the Forest Acres Festival with Noah and Poppy and had a wonderful time. He rode a pony, teacups, and the ferris wheel. I am sorry I missed all the fun but so happy he will have these memories with Noah and Poppy.

First Baseball Game
We took little Dallas to his first baseball game on Saturday night to see the Asheville Tourists take on the Savannah Sand Gnats. The tourists lost 8-4 but we had a great time. We ate lots of junk food and had seats right behind home plate. Little Dallas loves sports. We have now added baseball to his list of favorites along with golf, football, and basketball! Aunt Kellee and cousin Brianne came to visit last Wednesday and stayed with us until Saturday. Little Dallas loves baby Brianne and his Aunt Kellee. Brianne is such a good baby and Kellee is a natural at being a Mom! We went to Greenville today to visit with family. It was very special that Dallas was able to visit with two of his great-grandmothers, Mimi and MawMaw. Thanks to the Roberts Family for Dallas' silly hat and glasses, slinky, sidewalk chalk, and ball and for my birthday present as well. Thank you to Bebe and PawPaw for a great lunch. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!
