Back to Reality!

We had such a wonderful time in Aruba. We arrived back in Charlotte on Saturday night and drove to Greenville. We were so anxious to see Dallas! He was sleeping when we arrived but of course we went in and peeked at him! We had a great reunion on Sunday, which happened to be my 30th birthday. I was much more excited about seeing Dallas than turning 30! Mom, Dad, and Whit were able to come up from Columbia to visit and celebrate with us. Bebe and Paw Paw had a nice birthday lunch for us and we had a nice time visiting and watching Dallas run around the yard. Thank you so much to everyone for my gifts! I love them all! A special thanks to Bebe and Paw Paw for keeping Dallas! We are so glad you all had a great week together. We left after lunch and drove back to Charlotte to catch our flight home. Daddy Dallas had one more surprise for my birthday. The Craig family, who house-sat and dog-sat for us, put up a tombstone in the yard, black and silver balloons in the house, a black wreath on the door, and lots of cupcakes. They did a great job decorating and we really appreciate all of the work and time they put in. Thanks also for taking care of "our girls"!

Aruba!

We are having a such a great time here in Aruba. I had a few minutes before we head out for a sunset sail so I thought I would share some pictures from our time so far. We have spent lots of time by the pool and had a very romantic dinner last night at a restarant overlooking the northern tip of the island. Today we visited a Butterfly Farm and drove to the Natural Bridge on the other side of the island. Unfortunatly, the bridge collapsed but it is still a very scenic spot with waves crashing on the rocks and good visibility. We really miss our little man and I got teary earlier today when I saw lots of kids doing arts and crafts in the children's play area. We hear he is having a wonderful time with Bebe and Paw Paw and they have sent us some pictures so that has helped! Hope everyone is doing well. We love you Dallas and can't wait to see you on Saturday!

Cutting the Grass

We are busy getting ready for our trip to Aruba. We are so excited!! This may be the last blog post for a week since we leave on Saturday but I'll have plenty of pictures from our trip when we get back. The weather is finally getting warmer here. It reached 60 today. When we lived in Columbia I thought 60 was cold but not anymore! Dada cut the grass when he got home from work. Dallas and I went outside to see how he was doing and Dallas ran right up to help. He must have made 10 runs up and back pushing the lawnmover. And no, it was not on!! I bet he will sleep really good tonight.

Update

We had a really nice week. Dallas is enjoying his school so much! He just runs in the class when we get there and even waved bye bye to Dada when he dropped him off this week. His teachers are so nice and they tell me that Dallas is one of their favorites! He was complimented by the lady at the post office for his nice manners when he told her thank you for a sticker. He was also complimented by several different people this week on how well behaved he his and how handsome! I just hate hearing things like that! :) Dallas' boss took us out to dinner on Thursday so we had a babysitter for little Dallas. She works at his school. She brought her son and they had such a great time she told me I didn't even need to pay her! We spent lots of time outside today. It was kind of cold but tomorrow it is supposed to rain so we tried to get out today. Dallas loves being outside and had a great time kicking and throwing the ball around. Dada got some yard work done and I went to get my hair done. We are so excited about our upcoming trip to Aruba. We leave in one week so we have been busy getting ready.

Easter Weekend

We hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. We spent the weekend with our friends Tom and Virginia and their son, Rowan, at their home in Maryland. Saturday we went to Virginia's cousin's house for an Easter egg hunt. There were lots of kids and it was very cold, but we had a great time. Dallas and Rowan both enjoyed grabbing eggs and putting them in their baskets. Saturday night we had a sitter for the boys and we all went to Philadelphia for dinner at Fogo de Chao. It is a Brazilian steak house. We had a wonderful time! The picture of Rowan and Dallas staring at the t.v. is them watching a Baby Einstein video. They were mesmerized as you can see. Thanks Uncle Justin for all of our videos! When we returned home on Sunday Dallas was able to enjoy another Easter egg hunt, indoors and out, thanks to the Craig Family. Dallas works with Paul Craig and he and his family took care of our dogs while we were away. They(or should I say "the Easter Bunny") made an Easter basket for Dallas and left eggs for him to find. They also left gifts for us and for Dixie and Harley. Thanks Craig Family! You are so thoughtful!

It's Snowing in April!

We decided to take Dallas out on Wednesday in his Easter outfit to get some pictures. It was such a beautiful day! I am so glad we did it early because it is snowing today and is supposed to be cold and snowing all weekend! It is too cold for him to wear his precious Easter outfit that Bebe got him. I am really bummed out about it! We are leaving tomorrow to visit our friends Tom and Virginia and their son, Rowan, in Maryland. We are planning an (indoor) Easter egg hunt for the boys so maybe Dallas can wear his outfit again. It should be lots of fun. I'll have lots of pictures to share.
