Thank You Dallas Sr.

Little Dallas first taste of Creme Brulee

Blowing out the candle

I would like to say "Thank You" to my wonderful husband who took little Dallas and I out to celebrate my birthday! We had a great dinner and he had my favorite dessert brought out with a candle! Little Dallas helped me blow it out and then had his first taste of creme brulee (and several more bites after that). I think he likes it as much as I do!

Beach Weekend

We left last Thursday for the beach to see Bebe and PawPaw's new beach house and to visit with Justin, Kellee, and Brianne. Daddy Dallas and Justin helped PawPaw build a fence for the backyard so they were very busy and worked really hard to get it finished. Little Dallas and I had to leave before seeing the finished product but I am sure it looks great. Angel, Dixie, Harley, Rufus, Latte, and Raven (between all of us we have 6 dogs!) now have a fenced in backyard to play in not to mention little Dallas and Brianne! The beach house looks fantastic and I know we will have many years of memories to make there! I did not do a good job taking pictures this trip so I don' t have much to show.

We headed to Columbia on Thursday so big Dallas could play in a USC golf tournament with PawPaw. The tournament also included going to the USC baseball game on Friday night and the Spring football game on Saturday. On Friday, Whit went to the zoo with little Dallas and I and we had a great time. He nearly had a break down over a train that he wanted to ride but it was not operating at the time. Another little boy was very upset about wanting to ride the train as well and his Dad was trying to pull him away. That made enough of a distraction for us to get by and move on to see the penquins. On Friday night, we went to Dianne's on Devine to celebrate my birthday even though it is not until the 29th. Big Dallas and PawPaw were able to join us a little late once they left the baseball game. By the way, they won the golf tournament!! Congrats guys!! On Saturday night we went to visit with some friends and let all the kids play together. It was a great weekend. I would like to thank my parents, Whit, and Dallas for the awesome camera you gave me. I can't wait to figure out how to use it and start taking even more pics of our little guy.

Ice Cream and Miley Cyrus

Admiring his ice cream
Grinning at Miley

Dancing with Miley
We have had a pretty normal week other than crazy weather. It was snowing on Monday and got down to freezing again last night. I am really looking forward to our trip to Columbia tomorrow and nicer weather. It did reach 60 degrees today and little Dallas spotted the TCBY in the same shopping complex where I take our dry cleaning. I treated him to chocolate ice cream with m&m's on top. He was very happy and enjoyed his ice cream. Little Dallas has developed his first crush and it is on Miley Cyrus! When her song comes on the radio he says, "turn it on, turn it on" (that means turn it up). She performed on the American Idol gives back show last week and I recorded it so he could watch her sing his favorite song, "See You Again". Everyday since, he has asked to watch it and he sings along, copies some of her moves, and dances. At one point she falls to her knees in some dance move and he says, "Miley boo boo". He is very concerned that she has hurt herself although I reassure him she is just dancing. So far I approve of his first crush--hopefully for her sake she will not follow the path of Britney Spears in which case I will be deleting the American Idol show from our DVR and there will be no more talk of Miley Cyrus!

Choo Choo Bed

Bebe has really outdone herself this time! She found a train bed for little Dallas to sleep in while visiting at her house. Little Dallas helped Daddy and PawPaw put it together and I am so sorry I missed all the fun. It even has a light on the front! Little Dallas LOVES his new bed and I was not sure that he would sleep in his "not so fun" bed when he got home. Thank you so much to Bebe and PawPaw for his new "choo choo" bed as he calls it. It will only make coming to see both of you even more exciting for him than it already is!

Girls Weekend

I went to Charleston last Thursday for a "Girl's Weekend" and we had the BEST time! I dropped little Dallas off in Greenville to stay with Bebe and PawPaw. Daddy Dallas was in Canada and got to Greenville late Friday night. I went a day early so that I could visit with my dear friend, John Brunty. He is a realtor in Charleston and has his own faux painting business called Interior Interpretations. If anyone is interested in having some painting done, please check out his website at http://www.interiorinterpretations.com/. We had a great time catching up, going out to Red Drum Restaurant, and watching reruns of Will and Grace! His house is gorgous(the homepage of his website is his house!) and I am so glad we were able to hang out. On Friday, I headed to the Francis Marion Hotel to check in and meet Lee and Reid. Lee and I headed to a spa right away for massages and took our time walking back ducking in and out of shops downtown. Reid arrived later and we met up to get all cute and go out! Yancey joined us at the restarant and I think he was really proud to be out with not just 1 but 3 girls! On Saturday we headed back to Mt.Pleasant to visit Kathryn Poe and Lisa Weeks clothing boutique, Mary Mojo. (Check it out at http://www.marymojo.com/) I got the cutest dress and Reid got jewerly(made by Kathryn), a handbag, (made by Sally Peek), and a cute top. We had fun chatting and checking out their store-it looks awesome and they have some really cute stuff! Saturday night we went to eat at Mimi's Cafe on John's Island and then headed back downtown to go out. I have not mentioned that this weekend was the Cooper River Bridge Run and it was Crazy busy everywhere. The race ended right in front of our hotel so Reid and I had fun people watching while we ate breakfast Saturday morning. We ended up at the Music Farm to see a Gun's N Roses cover band. We had so much fun dancing, screaming out the lyrics and more people watching. It was such a great weekend and I want to thank John, Lee and Yancey for being such gracious hosts! Of course I would also like to say "thank you" to Bebe, PawPaw, and my wonderful husband for taking care of our little man so Mommy could have fun.
