Soccer season is officially over for us. We leave for the Outer Banks tomorrow and little Dallas will miss his last practice and game while we are gone. He had a great season and even scored his first goal last week. He was beyond excited and started jumping up and pumping his fist in the air! He really fought to get that goal and we were so proud of him! Bebe came down for his game today and after it was over we took him to eat lunch and present him with a trophy. Next up is t-ball in the fall!

Playing Catch Up

Lots of things have been going on since my last post. I turned 33, little Dallas is still going strong with soccer, Sterling is eating solid foods, big Dallas started golf league and got back from San Diego, and 2 trips to Chicago, we attended a wedding, and had Mother's Day. We have been quite busy and are now approaching the end of school. We have some fun things planned for the summer with beach trips and gymnastics camp. Little Dallas will not be attending kindergarten in the fall because we decided it was best for him to repeat 4 year old kindergarten since he has an August birthday. Big Dallas does too and he say's it was better to be the oldest than the youngest. Many other people we have asked agree with this as well so I have bought myself one more year to put off the tears the day I drop him off and have to leave him at "big school." He has grown so much this year in every aspect of the word. We are so proud of him and who he is becoming! Sterling is doing great with her solid food and so far, peas seem to be her favorite. She is trying to scoot herself when she is on her tummy but is still a little ways off from crawling. She is a really happy baby and gives everyone she meets such a nice, big smile. Enjoy the pictures from some of our lastest events!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I had a great Mother's Day thanks to my family. It started early last Thursday with a special performance by little Dallas and his classmates for all the mommies. They escorted each of us to our seats where they had lots of special crafts they had made for us. They performed several songs for us and then the teacher's read answers to questions they had asked the kids about their Mommies. The Mom's were quite nervous as we had NO idea what the kids would say to these questions. I got out easy with little Dallas saying I was a stay at home Mommy, my favorite color is black, my favorite foods are peas and green beans, and for fun I like to get my hair cut. The funniest one made the Mommy turn bright red as the last line the teacher read was what she does for fun. The answer from her son, " likes to watch tv, read me books, and play games with Daddy!" She was mortified and we all laughed relieved that was not us! The kids then served us lunch and dessert. It was a very special day and I thank little Dallas for all the hard work he put in to make it so! I want to thank Big Dallas for taking care of the kids all day Sunday. It was nice to sleep in and have breakfast in bed. We had a great day eating ice cream and shopping. I want to thank my Mom and BeBe for being such wonderful Mother's and we hope you enjoyed your day as well!

My cousin Spencer got married on Saturday in Macon, GA. We had a great time seeing family we haven't seen in a while and little Dallas and Sterling had fun attending their first wedding. Little Dallas swam in the pool on Saturday before it was time to get ready and had lots of fun. Sterling was in her swim suit but we decided it was a little too cold for her to get in. Both my cousin Spencer and his new bride Meg work for Chick-fil-a at the corporate offices in Atlanta. The Chick-fil-a cows made a special appearance and little Dallas really enjoyed dancing with them. We want to thank the King Family for including us in this special occasion. Everything was beautiful and we were so happy to share in Spencer's special day!
