Bye Poppy!

We had such a great time with Poppy and hated to see him go. Here are some pictures from our time together. Thanks so much for coming to visit us!

Welcome Poppy!

We are so happy to have Poppy visiting. We have had a great time so far. Dallas and Poppy spent the day together yesterday while Dallas Sr. and I went to Baltimore for the day. They had a wonderful time together. Today we took Dallas to school and later returned with Dixie. It is family week at the school and they wanted people to bring family pets. She did a great job letting all of the kids pet her and she gave out lots of kisses!

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend and hope everyone else did too! Daddy came back a day early from his trip to Atlanta so we were able to have the whole weekend together. Saturday night we had a babysitter so we could go to dinner. We had such a nice time. One of the girls that works at Dallas' school came over with her 4 year old son to watch him. He recognized her immediately and didn't even notice that we left because he was having so much fun. The weather was beautiful on Sunday and we went to the park and spent time in the backyard. Daddy climbed a tree and Dallas tried to follow. It was very cute!

Missing bag found, only to be lost (and found) again!

We have had a quiet week in Ship. Daddy is coming home a day early and we are excited about that. His lost bag finally made it to the U.S. He decided to have it delivered to The Omni Hotel where he was staying in Atlanta since it had things in it that he needed. He checked with the front desk several times and was told it was not there. After spending lots of quality time on the phone with British Airways, he discovered the bag had been delivered to The Omni yesterday via FedEx. He then called the hotel back (he had already checked out and was on the way to Greenville, SC) and got the manager. I am sure he was using his nice voice (yeah right!) when he explained everything and was told there were 10 Reeves staying at the hotel and whoever signed for the bag from FedEx didn't know which Reeves it belonged to. Of course he had let them know it should be arriving and had checked several times but was told it was not there. He has a silver plated engraved nametag on the bag that Poppy gave him at Christmas but no one thought to look for a luggage tag to identfy which Reeves! Anyway, the bag is now being FedExed back to Ship from Atlanta at the expense of The Omni. We'll see if it makes it!

Success!

Dallas used his potty for the first time last night. We are so proud of him! The look on his face was priceless as he looked down and realized what that thing does! It was so funny. Dada is off again. This time to Greenville and Atlanta so at least he is in the U.S. and in the same time zone. One of his bags was left in London and we still don't know where it is. He had to buy all new toiletries and stuff to take on this trip. We hope it makes it back soon. This is a picture from a few weeks ago but I thought I would share it anyway. It's the classic "big shoes to fill" photo.

Bye Nana!

We had such a great time with Nana and we are so happy she was able to visit. Dallas loves her Donald Duck voice and Mommy loves how she sings and dances so Dallas will take his medicine! We hope you had a safe trip home and we love you ! Dada is stuck in London for another night. His flight could not get in due to the weather here. He is supposed to be on a flight tomorrow and we really hope he makes it home soon.

More Snow

Nana has been visiting with us for several days and we have had a great time. Everyone was surprised when we learned yesterday that it was going to snow today. Tuesday we were at the park in short sleeves and today we were bundled up in the snow! We had so much fun playing outside. Nana helped me shovel the driveway and Dallas tried to help too! His snow boots and suit were at school so we improvised with some other warm clothes and his cowboy boots. He doesn't match at all with his plaid jumpsuit, camoflauge hat and gloves, and cowboy boots but he was warm and he had lots of fun. Dada is supposed to be returning tomorrow from Manchester, England and Nana is supposed to be going home but we aren't sure yet about the flights. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

2nd Haircut

This is technically Dallas' 2nd haircut but since I didn't take pictures of the first, I took pictures this time. He was really good. He ate his cookie and played with some of those trolls with the crazy hair that one of the other stylists had. The last 2 pictures are the "after."

Fun at the Park!

The weather was beautiful today. After Dallas napped we walked to the park. He had so much fun running around and going down the slides. Dada is doing well and is now in Germany. He sounds tired but seems to be having a good trip. We miss you Dada!

Bye Bye Dada

Dada is off traveling for work again. This time to Italy, Germany, and London. We will miss him terribly but we hope he has safe travel and a productive trip! The first picture is right before he left for the airport. The second picture made me laugh and I was fortunate enough that the camera was right next to me. We were getting ready to go to the grocery store and I grabbed his diaper bag and my purse and put them by the door while I got his juice cup. I asked him to get his bag so we could go and he normally does, but this time he got mine. He even put it up on his shoulder. It was very cute!

Thank You Bebe!

Bebe sent Dallas a box full of clothes and shoes. He was so excited when he saw the box in the kitchen he said, "oooohhh!" He kept trying to open it and climb all over it. I cut the tape and let him lift the lid off. He had so much fun pulling out each piece item by item. He even tried to put on a pair of shoes except he still had his on! He had fun playing with the box for the rest of the evening. Thank you Bebe! We love every single outfit.

Bob the Builder

I drug Dallas to the mall with me so I decided I would let him ride on the Bob the Builder toy. He was bopping up and down with the music and loved steering the wheel.

So Cold!

It was really cold today. It snowed all afternoon but fortunately it did not stick. We bundled up to go get the mail. You can't see the snow in the pictures because it was blowing so much but we played in it for a couple of minutes. We are glad Nana is back home from her visit to Houston! We miss you Dada!

Where's Dallas?

We were trying to get out the door yesterday to run errands and by the time I got the dogs put up, the diaper bag, juice cup, and found Dallas' shoes he was no longer behind me. I started calling for him and going from room to room. As my heart started to beat a little quicker and I started worrying, I walked in his room and found him reading. He had climbed into the chair and put his feet up on the ottoman and was reading "Where's Spot?"( that's his favorite book) It was so cute and as I sighed in relief that he was okay I stood there leaning against the door frame smiling and taking in the moment. I was in such a rush to get out the door and get things done and he decided to take a moment to himself and slow down. So I did too, and we read "Where's Spot" together.
