Christmas 2013

Things have been quite busy around here! Sterling had 2 performances at school for her Christmas program and both kids participated in a program at church. Dallas had his class over for a Polar Express Movie party that turned into a "What Does the Fox Say" dance party by the end of the night! As the room mom for Dallas' class I was also responsible for their class Christmas party. All of the parties/programs have been a success! Santa came to our house early this year. We will be in SC for Christmas and then on to Disney World and to cheer on the Gamecocks in the Capitol One Bowl!  Lots more excitement to come for us this holiday season!

Flag Football 2013

Dallas had a great football season this year. His Dad was able to help coach the team and they both really enjoyed having this experience together. Dallas Jr. was given the ball 20 times this season and scored 15 touchdowns! He also had some great tackles during every game. Sterling and I endured rain, freezing cold, and blinding sun but we were there cheering on our guys every game. Dallas Jr. represented the Gamecocks during each game wearing a USC visor or a stocking cap depending on the weather. Of course the day I took the pictures was the only day he did not wear it because it was overcast but I promise he did! It was fun to hear the other parents talking about how fast "that kid with the visor is!" They wanted him to wear a backpack filled with rocks to slow him down a bit. I am so proud of him for always doing his best and giving 100% every game and every practice. We love you Bud and although I contained myself this year, I can't promise you that as you continue through the years that I won't stand up and yell, "that's my baby!" when you score those touchdowns.

Sterling's 4th Birthday

Sterling is so excited to be 4! She went with a rainbow unicorn theme and I am about "rainbowed" out! I made rainbow cupcakes to take for her class on Friday. She wore her rainbow outfit personalized with her name and the number 4. Before we went to dinner she opened presents. It looked like it Christmas there were so many gifts! One of her favorite gifts was her first American Girl doll, she named Bella. Bella also has a crib and changing table so Sterling can take extra good care of her. Some of her other favorite gifts were a cake and pizza for her tea parties, glitter boots, and clothes. Dallas Jr. made out pretty good on her birthday as well with some new Legos. On Sunday we had her birthday party at an Art Studio called Voila! She invited only girls from her class and her brother and his two buddies. The kids made rainbow/unicorn crafts and had some playtime as well. The boys did not complain one bit and dove right in to the craft making. To continue with the theme her cake was a rainbow layer cake with a unicorn on top. It was a big hit! I think I was more excited about it than anyone else but it was just so cool!!! We could not be more proud of how far she has come. She is coming into her own and really gaining confidence. She introduced Noah and Poppy to her friends and made sure to tell everyone "thank you" after she opened her gifts. She handed out all of her goody bags at the end of the party and gave each friend a hug. She has come a long way from the little girl who would not let go of my leg or speak to anyone in her 2 year old class for the entire school year! We love you so much Sterling and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with our sweet girl.
