Christmas Play

Little Dallas had his Christmas play at school Thursday night. He was a Wiseman. We made his costume from a bathrobe, scarf, bib that I spray painted gold, and his favorite piece, a crown. We spray painted the paper gold after we cut out the shape and then hot glue gunned the jewels in place. Scissors and hot glue guns are about the extent of my "craftiness" being that I am no Martha Stewart. It was pretty easy though and we had fun doing it together. He made his entrance down the aisle of the church and up on to the stage just beaming the whole way. The finale was the whole class singing "Away in a Manger" and shouting "Merry Christmas" at the end. They all did a great job and were so cute! Poppy came up from Columbia and Bebe and PawPaw came from Greenville to cheer him on. We ate at what little Dallas calls, "the dumplin place" or what the rest of us call "Craker Barrell". He LOVES chicken and dumpling's so we took him for his favorite meal before the play. Poppy left just in time Friday morning as the snow started falling. We ended up with about 9 inches of snow. Friday was supposed to be the Christmas luncheon at his school but school was cancelled. This has left me with enough meatballs to feed 160 people and I am sure all the other parents have massive amounts of whatever dish they were bringing as well. Guess I will have to try and channel Martha Stewart once again and find some creative ways to make meals out of all of those meatballs!

Hi! Sorry I missed seeing the Wise Man in action. He looks like he is totally enjoying wearing the crown. Kat, "aka Martha in training,"the outfit looks great and the crown is perfect. Next year Sterling may be able to see "big bro" in action. The snow pics from Dallas' phone almost look like a Christmas card. Love to all and stay warm,

Noah
