We hosted a pool party to celebrate the end of the first grade year for Dallas and his classmates. It was a perfect day and the kids had a great time. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit skewers, watermelon, goldfish, veggie platter, and a make your own ice cream bar that was a big hit! Unfortunately I did not get any pictures during the ice cream part of the party but they a had a blast piling on mini m and m's, gummy worms, cherries, crushed oreos, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, reeses peanut butter cups and syrups into their waffle bowls. The wind popped a few of the ballons and blew around my decorations but it also offered a bit of a cool down for us parents trying to stay out of the hot sun. Sterling had a fun as well and tried to stay out of the way of the "big kids". She said they were splashing too much and too rough. One of my favorite pictures is of Dallas, his best friend Ryland, and their girlfriends Katelyn and Rita, holding hands to jump in the pool. My other favorite is Sterling getting in the pool in her super cute rainbow ruffle bathing suit. After everyone left we had a family game of Corn Hole which Dallas Jr. won for he and I on the last toss of the game to put us up by 1. A perfect end to a perfect day!
